1. Who is responsible for your data

Hotel Villas Mercedes (“Villas Mercedes”), located at Calle Adelita #59, Playa La Madera, C.P. 40894, Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico, is responsible for processing your personal data, in accordance with Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.

2. Data we collect

Only what you give us when you request a quote or make a booking:

• Name, phone or WhatsApp number and email, when you contact us.
• Check-in and check-out dates, number of guests and the room you are interested in.
• The content of your messages.

The forms on this site do not store your data on our servers: when you submit them, WhatsApp opens with your message already written and the information is shared only in that conversation, which is also governed by WhatsApp's terms and privacy notice. If you confirm a booking, we may ask for additional data needed to confirm it (for example, full name and payment method). We do not request sensitive personal data.

3. What we use your data for

Necessary purposes: replying to your messages, quoting your stay, confirming and managing your booking, and assisting you before, during and after your visit.

Additional purpose: understanding, in statistical form, how this site is used in order to improve it (see section 4). We do not use your data for third-party advertising and we do not sell it.

4. Cookies, analytics and third-party services

• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): measures, in aggregate, which pages are visited, from what type of device and browser, from which country or approximate city and with which actions (for example, WhatsApp clicks or sending a quote request). It does not receive your name, phone or email. It may use browser cookies or identifiers.
• Google Maps and Street View: load when you view the map or the 360° tours, and Google may record data about that visit under its own policy.
• Light or dark mode preference: stored only in your browser and does not identify you.
• Fonts are hosted on our own site; no data is sent to font services.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or turn off Google Analytics with the official opt-out add-on.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell or transfer your data. It is only processed by the providers needed to operate (WhatsApp/Meta for the conversation, Google for analytics and maps, and our web hosting provider) or when a competent authority requires it by law. By contacting us you accept this processing.

6. Your rights and how to exercise them

You have the right to Access your data, Rectify it, Cancel it or Object to its use, as well as to withdraw your consent or limit the use of your data. To exercise them, write to us at villaselmorroymercedes@gmail.com stating your name, a clear description of your request, a way to reply to you and a copy of your ID. We will reply within 20 business days.

If you believe your right to data protection has been violated, you may go to the competent personal data protection authority in Mexico.

7. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The current version will always be on this page, with its update date.
